Manto's recipe



Mentu is one of the most sought-after dishes in Afghanistan and Central Asia. This dish is in the form of small meat dumplings, which are cooked or steamed in water and served. That helps in preserving most of its nutrients. They fill and use mento with different materials. They serve mento with a variety of spicy sauces, and it's actually a diet food.

Ingredients for mento paste

·         1 egg
·         Flour 375 g
·         1.5 teaspoon salt
·         Olive oil 2 tablespoons

·         Minced meat 250 g

How to make Afghan mento with minced meat

The first step is to prepare the dough

First, break the egg into a bowl and mix slightly to remove it from the clot. Then add salt, water and olive oil and add the flour gradually so that the dough no longer sticks to our hands. Now put the dough in the bowl and cover it with towels and rest for 30 minutes.

The second step is to prepare the sauce inside the mento

First, we eat the onion peeled. Put the right pan over the heat and put the onion in it, a little bit when the onion juice is dried, add olive oil and spices, add the aroma of the spices that are lifted, add the meat and roast thoroughly until the color of the meat changes, now add the paste a little bit, add a steak of water and let it be cooked with a closed lid of meat and to Oil falls.

 

The third step is screwing Mento.

At this point, we separate a piece of dough from the worktop and sprinkle the dough with vardeneh to thin like a lavash bread. Now cut according to the taste with the cutter or pour a small spoonful of ingredients between the dough and close the dough.

At this point, we need to have a steamer, grease the surface of the steamed container a little bit, and put the menteaus in it and allow it to cook for 20 minutes and then remove from the steamer.

 

Step 5 Cedar Mento

Heat the butter in a suitable pan, add steamed mento to a small toast and eat alongside the desired sauce.

Tips and tricks of preparing mento with meat

1.    If you are not available steamer, fill a pot of water and place a metal basket on the pot so that the basket is not in contact with the water. Now place the menteaus on the basket and allow to be cooked.

2.    In the last step, you can use some of the desired spices when toasting.

3.    Serve the menus with spicy sauce, mustard sauce and salsa sauce.
